Colossians 1:10-11 - "We're praying this so that you can live lives that are worthy of the Lord and pleasing to Him in every way: by producing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God; by being strengthened through his glorious might so that you endure everything and have patience"

As christians, when we give our life to Christ, we expect an immediate 360 change. I remember when I gave my life to Christ, and I expected to feel completely different; I expected all my worries, insecurities, fears, and doubts to disappear. But, I realized that christianity is a journey, and we never really arrive at a destination. When we give our life to Christ, we begin our journey, and the Holy Spirit helps us throughout the journey. So, the areas that we usually struggle with, God strengthens us.

I remember my first day at the gym, my instructor asked me what my goal was, and I said; I want to have abs in a week or two. My instructor replied by saying, it took you years to gain the fat in your belly, so why do I think there's some magic that would happen in this stage. This also applies to our Christian journey. When we give our life to Christ, we do not automatically stop having some thoughts, sinful desires or the urge to commit a sin. Because we are constantly at war with our flesh. But with the help of the Holy Spirit, we will realize that christianity is a progressive journey, which begins with the Holy Spirit working with, and in us, and we slowly begin to lose our desires for those sinful things. The Holy spirit convicts us when we are about to lie or commit a sin.

As soon as we choose to let God into our lives, it means that we consent to Him walking with us throughout the whole process to guide us, and give us understanding when we study the word of God.

We must also remember that even when we make mistakes, God does not condemn us, but He welcomes us back. Therefore, christianity is a journey but if you let God take control of the journey it would be a peaceful, and stress-free journey.

Today, God is telling us that we must stop beating ourselves up whenever we make a mistake or commit a sin, all we need to do is to go back to His feet, and repent. He is always waiting for us to return back to Him with His hands wide open, ready to welcome us back home.

I pray for God's grace upon anyone struggling in any area, and for those that have isolated themselves from God because they have committed a sin. I pray that we feel God's love today, and we remember all the goodness He has done in our lives. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Salvation Prayer: If you stumbled on this blog and you do not know this "God" I write about, but you feel a leading in your spirit to know more. Well, Welcome! God loves you and has led you here for a reason. If you desire to build a relationship with Him, the first step is to say this prayer below:

Lord Jesus, I come today as a sinner.
I know that I have turned away from You several times.
Today, I confess and repent of all my sins,
I believe You died for me and rose again,
I ask that Your precious Blood purify my life.
I ask that You change me, renew me and lead me.
Become my Lord and personal Savior.
Now, I am yours and I am Born Again.
Thank you Lord for saving me. Amen.

Congratulations, the Bible tells us that every time someone gives their life to God, there is a celebration in heaven over that person, you are loved and celebrated at this moment and forever. Amen!
